Returns
We hope the product you have purchased from The Smart Training Group will meet your expectations and requirements. If not we hope the following will help.
Item damaged in transit or incorrect goods dispatched
If the item was damaged in transit or the wrong goods were sent to you please contact us on info@smarttraining.co.uk stating the items purchased, the damage incurred and your full contact details. We will then advise how the item should be returned and we will pay the costs of postage to return the product.
Please do not return goods to us without contacting us first.
Please note you must notify us within 14 days of the receipt of the damaged or incorrect goods after which time we cannot accept returns.
Defective items
If you purchase any item that becomes defective within 30 days of purchase please contact us on info@smarttraining.co.uk setting out the problems that have occurred. We will then contact you to advise how the defect can be remedied or the item returned.
Distance selling regulations
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase for any item you have purchased from The Smart Training Group within 7 days of the date of delivery.
The following restrictions apply:
- This does not apply to any items bought on disc (e.g. DVD, manual on CD) once the seal has been broken it cannot be returned
- Books – we can only accept a return of a book if the condition is ‘as new’ and in an unused condition.
- This does not apply to any products bought on a download basis such as an online course
However if you are not entirely satisfied with any item you have purchased from The Smart Training Group please contact us and we will be pleased to address your concerns.
Statutory rights
This does not affect your statutory rights.

The Smart Training Group does not accept any risk, liability for any of the content contained in any of the products purchased from www.smarttraining.co.uk

How To Buy
We aim to make the purchase process as simple as possible. There are the following payment options:
By cheque
If you would prefer to pay by cheque select the ‘Pay by cheque’ option during the checkout process.
We will then raise an invoice and as soon as this has been paid we will either:
- Despatch your goods for physical despatch e.g. books, discs
- Or activate an online course
If you have an up to date account with The Smart Training Group you can use the ‘Pay by cheque’ option and we will arrange despatch of the goods or activate your course as applicable.
The specialist assignment manuals published by MERCIA can only be bought by:
- Cheque
- Existing customer of The Smart Training Group which normally means your practice should have attended courses with us in the past
By credit card
You can choose to pay by credit card. If you pay by credit card and are buying an online course this will automatically be activated once checkout has been completed.

Buying online courses
There are two methods to pay for online courses either by
- Cheque
- Credit card

Accessing online courses
Once payment has been received by credit card you will have instant access to the courses. If you are paying by cheque or on account access will be granted when payment is received or credit account approved.
Courses can be accessed by
- Click on MY ACCOUNT
- Select ONLINE COURSES – select the course you would like to run and it will run in your browser
Delivery
We aim to despatch all physical goods within 7 days of the order. Items will be sent by Royal Mail or other courier to the delivery address at the time of purchase.
Deliveries are only made within the UK.
Guarantees
Online courses
If you are not 100% satisfied with the course you have purchased please contact us and we will refund your costs in full.
Books, manuals etc
If you encounter a problem with a book, manual please see our returns policy and we will be pleased to assist to resolve the problem.
